The Pit Crew
The Pit Crew are a rag tag bunch of scoundrels who through much hard work and a few favours of the Dark Gods help make The Pit work like a smoothly oiled machine!
Matt Ramsden “Coffee Monster”
One of the founders of The Pit and Sci-fi, military and fantasy freak! An ancient war gamer, role-player, LARPer, comic collector and G.I. Joe hoarder, who is often overheard rambling on about 1st edition AD&D, when action figure were 99p or 3 Rhinos in a box for £9.99! Known fears: Running out of coffee, Spiders and painting miniatures. Likes to field armies in sprue grey colour schemes! Blessed, although some would say cursed, with encyclopedic knowledge of all things Star Trek and G.I. Joe. A Games Master of a variety of role-playing games over the years including D&D, Star Wars, WFRP, G.I. Joe and Star Trek. Currently working on Soviet army for Bolt Action, restarting his D20 Modern G.I. Joe RPG, Judge Dredd Ape Gang and trying to decide on a faction for Deadzone!
James Wicks “Captain Doughnut”
One of the founder members of The Pit and generally nice guy! A war gamer, role-player, LARPer, console gamer and collector of many years. With a leaning towards zombies and chaos, lately has been heard screaming Wagghhh!! and looking a little green! Known medical condition: Has an unhealthy liking of Captain Janeway of the USS Voyager! A comic book reader and fan of Red Sonja, G.I. Joe and The Walking Dead among others. Avid follower of Star Trek, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead TV shows. Currently working on 40K Ork army, British Commandoes for Bolt Action, Star Wars RPG and Deadzone. It is believed that he is permanently linked to his PS4, Matrix style, and has a holiday home in the world of Minecraft!
James Ramsden “Mr Perfect”
A master gamer, modeller, painter and musician who is never happy with anything he produces, despite it all being of the highest quality! Always tweaking and trying to do a little improvement here or there! Seems to have had a guitar permanently grafted to his body at some point in the past and if not gaming he will be making rather awesome music! Favourite outfit a bathroom towel, but only in public places!, and very fond of the Welsh! Currently moving everything slightly to the left or maybe to the right, deeply immersed in a narrative Warhammer 40K campaign with his decidedly evil kabal of Dark Eldar, running a zombie apocalypse RPG and running The Pit Bowl Dreadball league.
Matthew Mountain “Brush”
The Pit’s master painter, modeller and games demonstrator extraordinaire! Some say he is the offspring of Picasso and a Daemonette of the lower planes! Some say he was created in a failed experiment by Skynet in a Dulux factory! Some say he once drank a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster with no effect! All we know is he’s called “Brush” and he can paint! A painter of angelic ability who can drink like a pirate! Currently working on everything! Know weaknesses: Solid food and not being able to resist purchasing every miniature on the planet!
Sid Mountain “Squidge”
The newest member of The Pit Crew! Only time will tell if the artistic abilities of the father have passed to the son, but for now we know the dribbling has!
Danny Newman “Beard”
Jason Holmes “Noodle”
A gamer with a leaning towards writing and blessed with an amazing imagination. Adds reams of background fluff to characters, armies and games! Currently running a narrative Warhammer 40K campaign, which is causing an infectious creative outpouring from those taking part. Known to break the day up with multiple meals interspersed with the occasional work breaks!
Aaron Newvell “Cue Ball”
A scenery builder, miniature converter, painter and gamer. Always scratch building some new scenery piece for his Dungeons & Dragons RPG or making battle boards! Never happy with a shop bought miniatures or models, always has to add his conversion touch to it! Seldom seen without a T-shirt that will offend someone!
